If you are a Pakistani Parent, a Pakistani Teacher or Professor or anyone else who has a responsibility to guide the future generations of Pakistan, then I beg you to transmit the message of this video to our younger generations as much as you can. There is a need to convey the importance and the value of this great gift of Pakistan which is given to us by our elders after crossing an ocean of Fire and sword. Nobody had given us this Pakistan on a plate, our forefathers had snatched the blessings of liberty from the jaws of slavery for us.

Today it looks very easy to sit in an Air conditioned room and point out the problems of Pakistan one by one without doing an effort to solve them out. In my opinion just taking birth in Pakistan is not good enough reason to entitle yourself as a Pakistani. This is not just a nationality, this is the name of a title, honor and respect which could only be achieved after deserving it.

Our elders left their everything to call themselves a Pakistani, what we have done till now???? Think please !!!

Malbari Hotel...Happy Independence day!!

It is 14th August... the date we got independence from the British in 1947.Our malbari had declared holiday to celebrate the day and he had convinced us all to get together to go and visit Mazar e Quaid and Wazir Mansion to see how the people celebrated the day.
Our first destination was naturally the mazar of the great leader Quaid e Azam.We were shocked to see the entire compound littered with paper flags and all and all sorts of wrappings and other garbage all over the place.Sidiq Master could not keep silent and  was first to speak. He said d that it was okay that people threw garbage because people had no civic sense but throwing off our national flag in such great number was horrible.I will not throw my enemy's flag in such manner. We all felt deep grief as Keria commented that it seems that we have lost our national pride.
Now we left the mazar and went towards Saddar. We saw many vehicles decorated with paper flags and ribbons. Many buildings were decorated with light but no body was sure of availability of electricity. After 64 years of our existence we are still arguing how many hours of load shedding was reasonable.
From there we moved on towards Kharader the area where Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah was born in 1876.We walked towards Wazir Mansion where this great man was born.
We were shocked to see that this monument turned into a museum was completely barricaded from all sides and no one was allowed to enter the area. This was strange. The policeman standing guard at one barricade told us that some v i p  was expected to visit the place any minute.and soon we heard sirens blowing and all barricades of one side were removed and a black car  surrounded by at least 10 police mobiles went directly towards the building. There were some photographers who started recording the event. Some one from the police van brought out a basket full of sweets and some people in civil dresses came out of police mobiles and formed a queue in front of the minister.

The minister seriously started distributing sweets to the persons forming a queue and all this was recorded on camera.Just as his task finished the minister went towards his car and all persons who had received sweets returned all the sweets to the basket and went back to their vans and all convoy went away blowing sirens and flashing lights.

Malbari was first to speak. He very loudly said that the minister was very practical he distributed the sweets and recovered them and will go to some other placeand the procedure will be repeated all over again. Now we are independent but when we were under British rule such things could not happen. We were very near to the our malbari hotel so we all went to our nest so to speak and plan where next to go. Malbari said it is getting hot so we should gather again after the night prayers, the city is well illuminated and if we get electricity the city will look like a bride. We all agreed and decided to meet at night

Me to dekhonga tum bhi dekhoge......!!!!

Mujhe yaad hai hum bachpan me kitne shoq se 14 August  manaya karte the.1st August se hum tayarian kia karte they k 14th August kaise manana hai.School khulte bhi nahi they aur hum sab dost socha karte they is 14 August ko school ki celebration me kia kia karna hai.Hum bache yeh kabhi nahi sochte they k agar 14th ko halaat kharab hue to is sari tayari ka kia hoga...?humain kabhi bhi yeh nahi sochna parta tha k July k end me koi drama tayar karne k lie agar hum kisi dost k ghar ja rahe hain to uska area safe hai ya nahi.Blast ka lafz hum ne khushi me suna tha ...".Oh that was great infact it was a blast...!!!!!!!!" Firing sirf hawai firing hoti thi jo kabhi kabhar shadion me ya cricket matches jeetne k baad kia jati thi.

Is August Me ne buht se bachon se pocha k wo 14 august kaise manayeinge..mujhe kahin se koi positive jawab nahi mila kahin depression kahin mazaq.Kisi ne kaha bhai so k aur kia karna  hai to kise ne kaha indian movie dekhne ka plan hai.Aik teenager ne kaha tv dekhonga k kahan halat kharab hain aur kitne log shot down hue hain aur aik ne what is there to celebrate.

Waqai sochne ki baat to hai k what is there to celebrate but is sari negativity me kahin kuch missing nahi ho raha? hum apne bachon ko hope dena bhool rahe hain.Subah se shaam tak doston ki gatherings me,apne gahr aane wale memoanon k samne,Tv dekhte hue, raston me her her jaga hum apne mulk ki burai karte hote hain aur yeh aik lamhe ko bhi nahi sochte k hum apne bachon k masoom zehnon me zehr gholte ja rahe hain aur us se bhi barh kar aik cheez hum us diye ko bujhate ja rahe hain jise umeed kehte hain.jo zindagi ki alamat hai..jo behtri ki zamin hai....humare bachon k pass jis cheez ki sab se ziyada kami hai wo umeed ki hai.

Aaj  13 August hai.Kam se Kam  apne bachon k lie is hope ko zinda rakhna mera farz hai ye umeed k andhera kitna bhi ho roshni ki aik kiran use khatam kar deti hai.Meri khuwaish aur koshish hai k wo apne mulk se muhabat karein aur usk lie kuch kar sakein.inke dil talkhian nahi muhabatein hon.Hum aaj bhi apne gahr me jhandian lagayeinge aur is din ko wesey hi manayeinge jaise hum apne bachpan me manate they kyoun k mujhe yaqeen hain ..Me to dekhonga tum bhi dekhoge..... jab roti sasti hogi aur mehngi hogi jaan... wo din phir ayega jab aisa hoga Pakistan!!!!!

Help your preschoolar read-Sobya Imran

Learning to read is a process that begins a long time before your child enters kindergarten. Because reading and writing are based upon spoken language, you want to make sure your child has a language rich environment from birth. You need to be reading out loud to your child. You need to be singing to and with your children. You need to be speaking clearly and directly to your child so he can see your face to see how words are formed. You need to help your child become aware that words are made up of individual sounds. This skill is called phonemic awareness. We need to help them know that letters represent sounds, a skill that is called letter/sound recognition. After your child acquires the two basic skills for reading, phonemic awareness and letter/sound recognition, you will see a “burst” into reading, much like the “burst” into speech. There will be that magical day when your child discovers he can read. He will begin by reading one word at a time.

At first level of reading you need to offer vocabulary cards that have a picture and just one word, for example, a picture of an alligator and the word beneath it. These cards will give a visual clue to your child, and help them build word recognition.  At first the child may “sound” out the words, but through repetition, the eye and brain begin to remember a word at a time, so that the child can see the word “alligator” and know it and say it without consciously having to sound it out. Through repetition, the child develops a visual memory of a word, which makes reading faster and more enjoyable.

The second level is to read two or three words at a time. With your new reader, make little books that have lots of visual clues.

The Hat Book is one of my students’ favorite first books. We draw hats in ten different colors and write the words like The green hat ,the blue hat n so on. We make a booklet using half sheets of copy paper. We have a visual clue of what the words should say, plus we’ve written it ourselves.

The third level is to create books with five or more words in a complete sentence. You might do a hat book with sentences like these: The black hat is small. The red hat is large. The yellow hat is just right. After your child develops fluency with one sentence per page, begin to make books with two sentences per page, one underneath the other. The black hat is small.
It does not fit me.

At this point, your child is ready to start into books that have two or three lines of print per page. Some children may get to this point in a few weeks. For others it may be many months. The important thing is that you keep it fun and successful.

The road to reading is a long one, but when you are aware of the developmental needs of your child, it should be a smooth ride with very few bumps.
Happy parenting :)
